Limited Edition Picasso Madoura Plein Fue ceramic pottery plate painted and glazed with  a black face with orange cheeks.   The plate measures 9.5 inches in diameter (24 cm).   The plate is blindmarked stamped with 2 stamps. French France art pottery.  The plate dates from 1950-1970.   This plate sold for $2025 in April 2010.

1952 Picasso decorated Madoura ceramic bowl. This piece is called bird under sun and depicts a bird setting on a branch with the sun overhead. This is one of a series of 6 ceramics Picasso had made at this time. The pieces were authorized reproductions made by Madoura with 500 copies produced. This bowl measures 6 ¼” in diameter and is 1 ¾” high. The back in incised with Edition Picasso, Madoura.

It sold for $1,975 in January 2010.
