This 1909 Nippon 7.5″ tall Coralene vase sold for $2431 in May 2011. The cobalt blue is the background for Morning Glory flowers. The base reads US Patent Nmb. 91217 Feb 9 1909.

Mount Washington Lamp from the ROYAL FLEMISH line

This Mount Washington Lam Shade from the ROYAL FLEMISH line. The lamp base is hammered brass accented with an applied leaf and berry motif and two side handles. The top has an embossed floral band and the bottom has four feet with classic Aesthetic decoration. The shade is hand painted with a harbor scene. The panels on the shade are divided with heavy gilded enamel bands and emerald green dots. The top of the shade has a band of raised balls. The lamp measures 21 1/2″ high overall (including chimney). The square shaped base is 12″ high to the top of the burner, 9 1/2″ to the collar, 7 1/4″ across at the top and 8″ at the widest point. The shade is 6″ high, 3 3/4″ across at the top and 10″ at the bottom. It sold for $5746 in May 2011.

Fenton Peter Rabbit Carnival Glass Plate in Green sells big!

This 9.5″ carnival glass plate with sawtooth edge and collar base was made by Fenton and that the pattern is called “Peter Rabbit”.  It sold for $2247 in May, 2011.

Australian Carnival Glass Kiwi Patterned Bowl goes for BIG MONEY

This 9 and 7/8 inch Australian Carnival Glass Kiwi Bowl sold for $7,756 in May 2011. WOW!  The bowl was made by Crown Glass in Australia and features a New Zealand Kiwi bird with a mountain range in the background.  The base glass color is deep purple/amethyst.

19th century Chinese Snuff Bottle

~1859 Gorham Coin Silver Butter Dish

c1859 Gorham coin silver griffin foot butter dish with a high domed bee-hive cover. Note - the cover and base bear the number “2″. Indicating this is the original cover made for the base. Butter dishes were often made in pairs or sets of four. Each with a number 1, 2 etc which corresponded to its correct base.
The dish has engraved seaside vignettes and ESFM engraved. One side with tall fortress along harbor’s edge and a masted ship. The other side shows a sailboat, cottage and mountains in the distance.

The dish is supported atop brilliantly cast spread wing griffin feet. Satin chased acanthus body to talon foot. It measures 7 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches tall and weighs 20 1/2 ounces.

It bears the same hallmark as the Abraham Lincoln tea service (See Carpenter pg 229). That set now displayed in the Smithsonian Institute.

The butter dish sold for $1,302 in January 2011.
