Bill Mays grew up in Chicago in the heart of Bungalow Row.  He has always been interested in the Arts and Crafts movement and has been an avid collector for the past 20 years.

Chicago Bungalows

In his early 20’s Bill worked at Washburn Guitar’s custom shop, where he hand crafted very high end guitars.  He later worked as a foreman at Douglass Furniture, where he learned the art of crafting high quality furniture. He left the woodworking business in the late 1990’s to open his first antique shop on Belmont Avenue in Chicago. He closed his shop when he moved out of the city.

He lives in a modern bungalow:
