Native American cylinder pottery jar made by HOPI Native American original frog woman, Paqua Naha. The jar is 16 5/8″ tall with a top diameter of approx. 5 1/8″.

Beautiful example of Hopi, Its interesting that someone wrote Nampeyo on the bottom of the jar. She was the Mother of the Hopi pottery revival. Not sure if the writing was to get a higher price or what? thoughts?

sure fooled me. If it wasn’t authentic to the piece, it surely was added to bring the price up. Thanks for the heads up!
