		<description>f you see a JM mark on the pottery, the Potter was Joseph Meyer.  Joseph Meyer “could throw a fine piece of work faster than any man living” said Paul Cox, also a potter at Newcomb.  Meyer created classical shapes which formed a canvas for Newcomb’s very talented decorators.</description>

		<description>Was there an artist with intitials JM at Newcomb College as well?  I have a Newcomb Collage vase with RB37 and with what looks like JM (J and M connected) intials.  There is also 19 pressed on the bottom of the vase.</description>
